Senior Tax Advisor – 100% Remote

We are partnering with a growing, nationally established wealth management and financial services organization seeking experienced Tax Advisors to join its expanding tax advisory team!

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, providing strategic tax guidance, and helping high-net-worth individuals and families make smarter financial decisions.

Unlike traditional tax preparation roles focused primarily on filing deadlines, this position offers the opportunity to provide proactive, year-round tax planning and advisory services while collaborating with financial advisors to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own Your Client Relationships: Independently manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners, serving as their trusted tax advisor.

• Provide Strategic Tax Planning: Identify tax-saving opportunities, prepare projections, and develop proactive strategies that support clients' long-term financial goals.

• Manage Complex Tax Returns: Prepare, review, and sign federal and state tax returns, including complex individual returns and applicable business, trust, and estate returns.

• Partner With Financial Advisors: Collaborate with wealth management professionals to incorporate tax strategies into broader financial plans.

• Advise on Complex Tax Matters: Provide guidance involving equity compensation, multi-state taxation, retirement planning, charitable giving, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses.

• Lead Client Conversations: Meet directly with clients to explain tax strategies, answer questions, and deliver actionable recommendations.

• Leverage Technology and Team Support: Utilize advanced tax software, automation, and junior staff resources to streamline preparation and focus on higher-value advisory work.

• Deliver Year-Round Value: Support clients beyond tax season with ongoing planning, estimated payments, tax notices, and changing financial circumstances.

What We're Looking For

• Active CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), or JD credential required.

• 7+ years of progressive tax experience , including complex individual tax preparation, review, and planning.

• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and/or business owners .

• Strong background in individual income taxation, tax projections, and proactive tax planning.

• Experience independently managing client relationships and communicating directly with clients.

• Familiarity with trusts, estates, partnerships, S corporations, equity compensation, or multi-state taxation is highly desirable.

• Experience with CCH Axcess, Bloomberg Tax Planner (BNA), or comparable professional tax software preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
