Certified Medication Aide

Job Description

The Certified Medication Aide plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare teams by administering medications safely and efficiently under the direction of licensed nursing staff. This role ensures patient safety through accurate medication delivery and adherence to proper procedures and protocols within healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

Administer medications to patients according to prescribed instructions and protocols
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report any concerns promptly
Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
Follow safety and compliance regulations related to medication administration
Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient care goals
Assist with basic patient care tasks as needed
Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Medication Aide license

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in medication administration
Medication Administration skills
Basic Patient Care knowledge
Record Keeping proficiency
