Restaurant Food Server

Responsibilities: • Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities • Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties • Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to answer client queries and provide recommendations • Promptly seat guests when they arrive, take food and beverage orders, serve meals on time while accommodating any special requests • Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors Qualifications: • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members • This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED) • Micros experience • Weekend availability Compensation: $2.13 hourly plus tips
