Product/Project Development Manager

United States of America - La Porte Responsible for the development of products in accordance with product line or business strategy and customer demand Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Design and develop products and associated processes in accordance with product line requirements.
- Manage the various activities associated with ensuring that product is delivered that meets end users needs.
- Review existing products to optimise and enhance functionality either in response to customer problems or requests or as part of planned product enhancements.
- Ensure that relevant factors are considered in development process how well the product fits with business/customer needs.
- Research market to identify competing or potentially competing products and evaluates strengths and gaps.
- Provide documented plans of incremental improvements and/or development to achieve final product development.
- Liaise with product line experts, operations and engineering to ensure development plans are achievable within agreed timescales and to product release requirements.
- Use feedback from internal and external customers as well as quantitative operational data to develop product requirements/enhancements.
- May liaise with Marketing and Communications to define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits and target customer.
- Analyse potential partner relationships for the product.
- Degree qualified or formal technical qualification
- 10+ years technical experience preferable within relevant product line
- Previous Team Leader/Supervisory experience
