Food Service Associate (Byfield)

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Part-Time Food Service Associate at The Governor's Academy, a prestigious independent day and boarding school located in Byfield, MA.- Must be available: Sunday and Wednesday, 11 am-7:30 pm
- Part-time
- Food handling and customer service experience preferred
What the Food Service Associate will do:
- Greet customers with a positive and friendly attitude
- Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals while handling exchanges in a quick, efficient manner
- Transport food and supplies to the cafeteria: assist in the set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the cafeteria, food serving, and beverage areas.
- Serve and replenish food from food counters and steam tables.
- Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly stores food, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage.
- Keep dining room areas and assigned kitchen areas neat and organized
- Clean and sanitize work areas, dining tables, chairs, and equipment throughout and after meal periods
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of other kitchen areas by following daily and weekly cleaning assignments
- Inspect workstations for compliance with service standards.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training, and hazard assessments.
What the Food Service Associate will need:
- Must be able to pass an FBI background check
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent communication and good organizational skills
- Flexibility: ability to switch between locations and job duties
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred.
- Reliable Transportation
