Job Title

E-Commerce Intern

Job Purpose

The E-Commerce Intern will support Hormel Foods growing digital commerce initiatives by assisting with online retail execution digital content management sales analytics and marketplace optimization. This role provides hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to drive online growth across major retail and marketplace platforms while gaining exposure to digital marketing e-commerce strategy and consumer insights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the execution of e-commerce strategies across key online retail and marketplace partners.
• Support product content management including product descriptions images specifications and digital shelf audits.
• Analyze online sales traffic and assortment data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor product availability pricing ratings reviews and competitive activity across e-commerce platforms.
• Develop reports and presentations that summarize key business insights and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Sales Marketing Brand Management Category Management and Analytics teams on business initiatives.
• Assist with promotional planning and digital merchandising activities.
• Participate in consumer and market research projects to support digital growth strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve online consumer experiences and conversion rates.
• Complete special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must graduate in August 2027 December 2027 or May 2028 with a Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration Digital Marketing E-Commerce Analytics Supply Chain Economics or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated interest in e-commerce digital marketing retail or consumer packaged goods.
• Experience with data visualization analytics tools or digital platforms is preferred.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Duration

Our summer internship program runs 10-12 weeks and starts in late May and ends in early August.

Hours

This is a temporary full-time hourly position. Interns can expect to work approximately 40 hours per week and may be eligible for overtime based on business needs.

• This is an on-site position based out of our corporate headquarters in Austin MN.
• Hormel Foods does not currently offer remote internship opportunities.
