Project Manager - E2E R&D

OverviewWe are seeking a highly proactive Project Manager to support hardware-focused initiatives within a medical device R&D program. This role is critical to improving execution discipline across hardware deliverables, ensuring timelines, ownership, and milestones are clearly defined, tracked, and communicated.The ideal candidate will bring strong project management fundamentals, hands-on experience with medical device design controls, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project tracking and execution for hardware development across two product releases within the same product familyBuild and manage detailed project plans (MS Project), ensuring clear ownership, timelines, and deliverablesDrive accountability across cross-functional teams, identifying gaps and ensuring work is completed on scheduleProvide regular status updates, risk identification, and mitigation plans to program leadershipSupport hardware design control activities, ensuring compliance with medical device regulationsOversee configuration management for hardware components, including version control and change trackingPartner with software PM and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment across workstreamsBreak down complex priorities into actionable tasks and clear execution plansRequired Qualifications10+ years of project management experience, preferably in medical device or regulated environmentsStrong knowledge of medical device design controls and their application to hardware developmentExperience with hardware configuration management and version control processesAdvanced proficiency in MS Project and project planning toolsProven ability to drive execution, track deliverables, and manage competing prioritiesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsSelf-starter with a hands-on, proactive approach (minimal oversight required)Preferred QualificationsEnd-to-end product launch experience in R&D environmentsExperience supporting product commercialization and qualificationBackground in downstream activities, including supply chain integration and product release executionExperience managing hardware and/or hardware-software integrated programsEOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
