Position Overview

• Develops and optimizes CNC machining processes for new and existing production programs
• Programs, edits, and troubleshoots CNC equipment to resolve part quality and cycle time issues
• Selects tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters to improve process reliability and yield
• Conducts time studies to establish standard work and validate performance against cost targets
• Applies statistical process control and capability analysis to drive consistent, high-yield production
• Supports new product introduction, including process planning, tooling, and work instructions
• Analyzes production data to identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
• Leads root cause investigations for scrap, rework, and machine downtime issues
• Partners with Quality and Operations to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield
• Champions cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor
• Provides hands-on technical support to machine operators and production teams

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing preferred)
• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with CNC machining processes
• Working knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup/troubleshooting
• Solid foundation in root cause analysis and structured problem solving
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office; CAD/CAM experience preferred
• Familiarity with statistical process analysis tools preferred
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods a plus
