Role Highlights

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups through a blend of standardized testing and personal observation.
• Create individualized treatment plans that accommodate both immediate goals and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver specialized, one-on-one therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a range of health professionals including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and their families, providing tools to encourage progress beyond clinic visits.
• Participate in occasional speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients, ensuring a seamless continuity of care.
• Maintain precise and timely patient documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay aligned with the latest advancements in Speech-Language Pathology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Licenses & Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
