Maintenance TechnicianArcosa LWFP, LLC is searching for a Maintenance Technician for our Frazier Park, CA plant. As a Welder/Maintenance Technician, you will support a positive safety culture, activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards while troubleshooting operation problems as well as using a variety of tools to perform maintenance tasks and repairs.Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products.What you will get:Competitive hourly pay: $25.42 - $35.59 per hourOpportunity for annual performance increases401k program with employer matchingRoom for growth and career advancementHealth insuranceDental & vision insurancePaid life insurancePaid short term disabilityPaid vacation and sick time11 paid holidaysMSHA/OSHA training providedWhat you will do:Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations including but not limited to ensuring a safe working environment for self and othersParticipate in plant safety initiatives, committees and activitiesConduct mandatory MSHA pre-shift inspections on equipment and work areas in the plantPerform basic preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical componentsDetermine causes of operating problems in areas including, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipmentWeld, fabricate, cut, grind and operator torchesComplete and maintain required paperwork and reports for plant equipment and maintenance projectsTroubleshoot basic 3 Phase/equipment up to 600vMaintain contact with kiln operators and quality control to ensure material quality is metClimb into and around mobile and plant equipment to make necessary adjustmentsParticipate in general cleanup of the plant area, including but not limited to shoveling and sweepingRead blueprints and schematicsUse small power tools and electronic test equipmentPerform other duties as assignedWhat you will need:The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 poundsThe ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)Willingness and ability to work some weekends and eveningsMinimum of 10+ years of experienceThe ability to read blueprintsThe ability to safely use oxy-acetylene torch or equivalent plasma arcThe ability to weld (stick, wire), and basic knowledge of welding rodsThe ability to braze, solderThe ability to fabricate guards and parts as required to meet MSHA StandardsThe ability to use a variety of hand toolsWorking Conditions and physical environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty. Regularly sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Frequent use of hands and arms. Requires ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
