Quality Assurance Inspector

Quality Assurance SpecialistUnder direct supervision of the Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Supervisor or QA Team Leader, this position is responsible for ensuring finished products conform to the established quality standards and agency guidelines, to ensure customer satisfaction. Shift lengths may vary from 8,10, or 12 hours depending on assigned area. Weekend shift schedules require two 8-hour days and two 12-hour days. Shift: Weekends - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour plus $0.90 shift differential ResponsibilitiesSpecific ResponsibilitiesPerform disintegration testPerform physical tests on finished bulkPerform AQL Sample Inspection Defect and Defect Level Limits on finished bulk, third party bulkPerform FT-NIR test on TGA softgel oils (Applicable to Woodruff Facility)Physically place product on QA Hold and release product when necessaryPull samples based on the ANSI/ASQC Z 1.4 2003 AQL requirementsTrain and use ERP and Warehouse system for all QA job functionsComplete all logs and product appearance check sheetsTrain to perform daily balance calibration verificationTrain to perform monthly lab equipment calibration verificationReport any questionable quality or safety issues to appropriate supervisory personnelReview and approve PE and PAW forms when requestedGeneral ResponsibilitiesPoses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property.Requires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsThe CandidateEducation, Experience, and Licenses:High School Diploma/GED equivalent.2-3 years' experience in manufacturing or quality environmentKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel, basic data entry skillsExcellent math, verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate respectfully with employees of all levelsMust be able to handle, in an expeditious manner, multi tasks and prioritiesMake logical decisions with attention to detailsKnowledge of and compliance with company policies and SOP's and understanding of all of the cGMP'sGood documentation skillsMust be able to work flexible hoursPossess an attitude that fosters teamwork and promotes positive morale and respect for coworkers of all levels within the companyAdherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced is requiredMaintain clean work environment at all times, including and not limited to hygiene practicesFollow batch record instructions and maintain accurate and legible production recordsEnsure proper labeling of finished product while completing all necessary paperwork/documentation as requiredEnsure that correct raw material and lot numbers are being processedEnsure proper recording and usage of batch records per established processesComplete all necessary paperwork and proper documentationKnow and understand the cGMP and other regulatory complianceEnsure job specific safety procedures are established and followedMaintain awareness and enforcement of health and safety practices and activitiesBe involved in the development, implementation, and updating of health and safety plans and proceduresActively participate in health and safety training programs and demonstrate competency based on training receivedMake safety a priority in daily operations by:Actively participating in health and safety activities,Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements,Ensuring adequate resources are provided, andProviding suggestions for improvement to the health and safety programInternational Vitamin Corporation (IVC) Is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
