Medical Assistant Cardiology

Job Description Key responsibilities Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and medication list. Obtain electrocardiograms. Prepare patient\'s for exams, and assist with in office procedures. Performed electrocardiograms and other basic cardiac diagnostic tests as directed. Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and diagnostic testing. Maintain accurate electronic medical records. Provide patient education on medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care. Ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly cleaned and stocked. Qualifications Completion of an accredited medical assistant program. Current certification preferred. Experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred. Proficiency with Athena EHR system. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Work environment Clinical outpatient cardiology setting requiring professionalism, description, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
