We are looking for a skilled Copywriter to join a healthcare-focused marketing team. This is a Long-term Contract opportunity for a writer who can turn complex Medicare and health plan information into clear, engaging content for members, prospective customers, and business partners. The ideal candidate will collaborate across creative, marketing, and subject matter expert teams to produce effective messaging across multiple channels while maintaining clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency. This is a remote role but must be local to Southern California.

Responsibilities:

• Create clear, audience-focused content for marketing, advertising, member communications, and corporate messaging across print, digital, social, broadcast, and collateral formats.

• Translate detailed healthcare and Medicare-related information into accessible language that supports understanding, engagement, and retention.

• Partner closely with designers to ensure written content aligns with visual presentation, campaign goals, and overall creative direction.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to validate content accuracy and strengthen the usefulness of published materials.

• Work with marketing leads to shape messaging approaches, refine content concepts, and deliver effective copy within established timelines.

• Support the development of creative briefs and contribute strategic thinking that improves the effectiveness and consistency of campaigns.

• Maintain a strong understanding of product offerings, regulatory expectations, and brand standards to ensure compliant and cohesive communications.

• Help strengthen and uphold brand voice guidelines so messaging remains consistent across channels and audience segments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of copywriting experience, ideally within Medicare, healthcare, or multicultural marketing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to creative strategy and develop content from brief through final execution.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple assignments at once and consistently meet deadlines.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to receive feedback constructively and revise content quickly while preserving message quality.
• Experience writing for senior audiences, multilingual communities, or underserved populations is advantageous; additional language skills are a plus.
