RN - OR Circulator

Located amongst the oak trees, the facility has been serving the community since 1977. It is comprised of a 122-bed acute care facility. The team provides exceptional care in emergency medicine, orthopedics, obstetrics, digestive disorders, wound care, and various medical, surgical, and outpatient services. Locals enjoy weekly farmers markets, farm-to-fork dining, beautiful landscapes for hiking and biking, and beach days just a short drive away.

The RN - OR Circulator assists surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures. They coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to ensure patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. The position requires participation in patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatment.

Essential Functions:

  • The RN is competent to circulate in the operating room during surgical procedures.
  • They demonstrate knowledge of and consistently apply principles of aseptic technique.
  • The RN is capable of safely operating all equipment routinely utilized in the operating room.
  • They prepare patients for surgery, including safe and appropriate anatomical positioning.
  • The RN performs pre, intra, and post-procedure patient care planning and assessment following established criteria.
  • They handle and dispose of biohazardous materials safely from operative procedures.
  • The RN accesses facility information systems to retrieve and utilize pertinent information for patient care or other job-related responsibilities.
  • They demonstrate knowledge and skills to fulfill job-specific responsibilities related to patient safety, security, and emergency preparedness.
  • The RN documents the temperature of tissue/allografts, verifies package integrity, and delivers items to the sterile field.
  • They efficiently use down time for job-related tasks, including chart auditing, cleaning, restocking, and training.
  • The RN performs other job-related duties as assigned.
