Litigation Attorney – Personal Injury (Woodland Hills, CA – In Office)

Direct Counsel is seeking a seasoned Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join a mid-sized trial firm with a thriving litigation practice.

Position Overview:
The firm is looking to add a highly experienced trial attorney with a strong record of first-chair jury trials. This role is ideal for a courtroom-focused litigator who is confident taking cases through verdict and thrives in a hands-on, trial-heavy environment.

Candidates must have substantial trial experience, including a minimum of 10 first-chair jury trials to verdict . While the firm has a preference for attorneys with an insurance defense background, experienced plaintiff-side trial attorneys will also be considered.

This is an in-office position based in Woodland Hills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a full caseload of personal injury matters from inception through trial

• Serve as first-chair trial counsel in jury trials

• Develop case strategy, conduct depositions, and handle all aspects of trial preparation

• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive and in limine motions

• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to efficiently move cases forward

• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and internal team members

Ideal Candidate:

• Licensed California attorney in good standing

• Significant personal injury litigation experience (defense strongly preferred; plaintiff-side considered)

• Minimum of 10 first-chair jury trials to verdict required

• Proven ability to independently handle cases through trial

• Strong advocacy, research, writing, and negotiation skills

• Highly organized, proactive, and team-oriented
