Complex Litigation Attorney

Rosing Pott & Strohbehn LLP is an elite 24-attorney civil litigation firm concentrating in complex litigation; professional liability and white-collar criminal defense; business and intellectual property litigation; ethics and business advisement; and appellate and administrative actions. Headquartered in San Diego, RPS serves clients throughout California and Arizona. We have an immediate need for an experienced litigation attorney licensed to practice in California and/or Arizona, and we are pleased to offer on-site, hybrid, and remote working arrangement options.

*Responsibilities*

* Handle all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
* Conduct legal research and draft persuasive motions, briefs, and memoranda.
* Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
* Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal counsel.
* Work closely with partners and colleagues on case strategy and trial preparation.

*Qualifications*

* Juris Doctor degree and current good standing with the California and/or Arizona State Bar.
* 2–6 years of substantive complex litigation experience (professional liability, commercial, intellectual property, or similar).
* Strong legal research, advocacy, and motion practice experience, including drafting demurrers, motions for summary judgment, oppositions, and other substantive briefs.
* Ability to independently manage multiple matters while working collaboratively within a partner-driven team.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with legal assistants, paralegals, partners, and clients.
* High level of professionalism, judgment, and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and high-exposure matters.
* Comfort working in a cloud-based, modern legal technology environment (NetDocuments, Clio, etc.).
