Check out this new opportunity!Software Engineer Full-Time with an Employee Owned and Best Places to Work ContractorOnsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule: 9x80Estimated Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000We are hiring a Software Engineer to support a large-scale defense system within an Agile SCRUM software development environment. Experience in C++ software development, automated testing, real-time systems, large-scale data processing, containerized applications, and software lifecycle execution while supporting mission-critical DoD programs and classified environments highly preferred.Responsibilities:Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g. processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, container management and real-time systems) based upon documented requirementsReview and develop automated software, tests software components for adherence to the design requirements, and document test resultsResolve software problem reportsProvide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, and use of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) in place of new developmentConducts requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software componentsContribute to configuration management, source control, build management, and software release processes.Qualifications:U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawActive Secret Clearance requiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited university3+ years of experience developing software using C++Experience supporting all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, specification, design, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenanceExperience working within Agile SCRUM software development environments.Must have familiarity with SCRUM-based Agile processes and experience with source code control tools (preferably Git)Must have familiarity with a structured process-driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking, and build release practicesExperience with applied automated testing techniques including unit and integration testing is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Visual Studio Code (VS Code), SonarQube, and CameoExperience developing multi-threaded applications and real-time software systemsExperience with scheduling, synchronization, concurrency, and memory management techniquesExperience with automated test framework development, including Google TestExperience developing, deploying, and managing containerized applicationsExperience with Kubernetes orchestration platformsExperience developing software in Linux environmentsExperience supporting classified defense programsFull-Time position with an Employee-Owned company offering a comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance, Short-Term and Long-term Disability, and Life Insurance, FSA, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) Plan with company match, Tuition and Training Reimbursement, and Incentive Compensation.
