Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required (Friday/Saturday Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 27-bed Cardiac/CVICU unit, managing acuity-adaptable patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4
• Operate and monitor specialized cardiac equipment including balloon pump, Impella, EKOS, transvenous pacers, CRRT, ventilators, and IV pumps
• Care for cardiac, post-operative cardiac, and medical ICU overflow patients
• Manage patients on cardiac drips and ventilators in accordance with unit protocols
• Float to ICU or other inpatient units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
• Participate in on-call/low census rotation, up to once every four weeks

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 3 years of ICU/CVICU experience
• Minimum of 1 year of ventilator and cardiac drip experience
• Current ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Must pass facility Cardiac Rhythm Knowledge Exam with a score of 90% or higher

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Cardiac ICU and/or step-down/progressive care setting
• At least 2 years of PCU/progressive care experience
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
