Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with 4 weekend rotating shifts a month. On-call is required.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The RRT will be responsible for managing and treating patients with various respiratory conditions, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and maintain accurate patient records.
• Manage ventilator settings and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.
• Administer respiratory therapies including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Assist with intubation and extubation procedures.
• Provide tracheostomy care and management, including suctioning and airway placement.
• Collect sputum specimens and perform arterial blood gas sampling.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of experience in Adult Critical Care settings.
• Active NY RRT license required in hand for submission.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
