Location: Lakeland, FL
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Job Description

The Medical Assistant will support both front-office and back-office operations in a healthcare setting. Responsibilities include patient intake, scheduling, clinical support, phlebotomy, assisting Radiology Technologists, and supporting daily clinic operations. The successful candidate will maintain a collaborative relationship with center staff and contribute to a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide a welcoming experience.
• Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Schedule appointments and assist with patient coordination.
• Answer phones and provide front-office administrative support.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.
• Administer vaccines as directed by clinical staff.
• Provide clinical and administrative support to Radiology Technologists.
• Assist with additional clinical duties as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Communate effectively with patients, providers, and healthcare staff.
• Collaborate with center staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support health education and outreach initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship experience.
• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.
• Radiology Technologist experience or related clinical support experience required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred/required.
• Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both front-office and back-office environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Radiology Technologists and other clinical staff.
