Premier Psychiatry is seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant / TMS & Spravato Technician to join our growing psychiatric practice. This is a unique position combining traditional Medical Assistant responsibilities with hands-on involvement in advanced psychiatric treatments including TMS and Spravato® (esketamine) . Training in TMS and Spravato will be provided. Responsibilities
- Assist with and administer TMS treatments according to provider-established protocols
- Assist with Spravato treatment sessions, including patient preparation, vital signs, monitoring and documentation
- Administer injections as permitted by training and practice protocols
- Complete medication and treatment prior authorizations and follow up with insurance companies
- Coordinate specialty medications and pharmacy communications
- Obtain vital signs and assist providers with clinical workflow
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient treatments
- Check patients in and assist with front-office responsibilities
- Answer patient calls and messages
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR
- Provide a comfortable, professional and supportive experience for our patients
- Medical Assistant experience or certification preferred
- Experience administering injections preferred
- Prior authorization experience strongly preferred
- TMS or Spravato experience is a plus, but not required – training will be provided
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with patients receiving psychiatric treatment
- Dependable, compassionate and able to multitask in a busy medical practice
