Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be entrusted with various responsibilities that directly impact client mental health outcomes:

• Manage a diverse caseload of clients, building rapport and fostering trusting, professional relationships while upholding ethical standards.
• Conduct regular meetings with clients to assess progress, re-evaluate treatment plans, and determine appropriate discharge criteria when necessary.
• Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving clients' goals and enhancing their quality of life.
• Perform comprehensive intake assessments that establish client needs and inform treatment decisions.
• Document treatment progress and maintain accurate records and progress notes compliant with HIPAA regulations and internal standards.
• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions, integrating evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of younger populations.
• Engage in regular supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and promote personal and professional development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Adopt a growth mindset, embracing feedback and learning opportunities to improve therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on youth clients, including children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. Your interventions will play a vital role in facilitating symptom relief and fostering resilience, empowering clients to navigate their mental health journeys confidently.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Arizona.
• Strong ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in accordance with clinical standard protocols.
• Experience working with psychiatric patients and/or individuals with substance abuse issues, preferably with a minimum of one year in direct practice.
• Solid background in conducting assessments, diagnoses, and leading both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including documentation software and electronic health records systems.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a community health setting with a focus on youth and adolescent populations.
• Familiarity with therapeutic techniques and tools specifically tailored to children and adolescents.
• Skills in integrating technology and telehealth practices into therapeutic interventions will be advantageous.
