Our Emergency team is the perfect place for technicians who thrive in a fast‑paced environment, can shift gears quickly and handle the stress of critical situations with ease. Every day is different and there’s never the same case twice! What you’ll do: Escalates issues to Clinical Manager Functions as a scheduled Clinical Services team member within department(s) Collaborates with other departments regarding patient and client needs Prioritizes and organizes workflows for shift Directly manages Clinical Services team members while on shift, which includes but is not limited to: Managing early call‑ins, early departures, call‑offs, sharing of resources, breaks and lunches for team members Assigning team member responsibilities per shift Addressing process or employee issues during their shift Communicating schedule changes, performance concerns and shift issues to the Clinical Manager routinely Serving as first level responder to client concerns and drug escalations Training and mentoring new team members Providing input to Clinical Manager on team member performance evaluations Participating in on‑call responsibilities Participating in management or administrative meeting(s) routinely Who you are: Strong communication skills Prior veterinary experience required, previous emergency experience desired Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Excellent verbal and written Perks and Benefits: Comprehensive Health Benefits Vision and Dental HSA, FSA and Independent Care Spending 401k with Employer Match Paid Time Off (PTO) Uniform Allowance Employee Pet Discounts and Pet Insurance Elective Short‑Term Disability, Life and Accident Insurance and company paid Long‑Term Disability Continuing Education Opportunities and Assistance Program Strong career growth and personal development opportunities Shift Differentials and On‑call Pay Evenings, Overnights, and Weekends MedVet is an equal opportunity employer.
