Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - $1,938 per week

Job Summary Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment type: Travel Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines. Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care for patients being treated. Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Respiratory Therapists should be able to lift 20 pounds easily and may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients. Must have specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Qualifications Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with NBRC‑CRT certification Minimum one year of recent acute care experience Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Potentially Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications Other certifications may be required before beginning an assignment Compensation Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation).
