Job Title: Quality Specialist (Inspector)

Location: Pascagoula, MS

Job Overview: A Quality Specialist is responsible for inspecting materials and products for conformance to specifications, codes, drawing, and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and tests on structural components, ensuring adherence to relevant codes, specifications, and quality standards.
• Interpret complex blueprints, codes, and specifications to accurately assess quality and structural integrity.
• Follow detailed inspection and testing procedures and communicate findings clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Document and report on quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams to maintain compliance with all QA/QC protocols.

Qualifications:

• One (1) to Three (3) years of experience of structural quality testing/inspecting.

Skills and Abilities:

• Candidate must have basic knowledge of QA/QC functions.
• Experience within a fabrication setting.
• Able to perform visual inspection
• Familiar with Non-Destructive Test/Inspection Processes.
• Able to read and interpret codes, specifications, advanced blueprints, and inspection/test procedures.
• Familiarity with ABS/USCG regulations.
• Ability to provide verbal and written directions / feedback.
• Basic computer experience using standard software (MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
