Location: Kodiak, Alaska

Schedule: 3x12 variable shifts, 60 guaranteed hours per two-week period, weekend rotation required

Highlights:

• Work in a Level IV Trauma Critical Access Hospital with 46 acute care beds and integrated long-term care services
• Epic charting system in a well-established electronic health record environment
• Facility-provided housing included during assignment (1-bedroom apartments, free parking)
• Minimum 13-week travel assignment with opportunity to extend after 3-month break period
• 4-room Labor & Delivery unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• Flexibility to float within scope across sister facilities to support patient care needs

Requirements:

• Active, unencumbered Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (required)
• Proficiency in core L&D skills including fetal monitoring, medication administration (Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate), newborn assessment, postpartum care, and couplet care
• Experience with vaginal delivery assistance, cesarean section support, epidural management, and neonatal care
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Clean background check required; facility does not accept Nursys or background hits
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
