Benefits Flexible schedule Opportunity for advancement Training & development Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The DSP plays a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being while ensuring the safety and health of individuals served. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and supervision to individuals in accordance with individualized support plans Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) , including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding Administer medications in accordance with state guidelines (must be Med Certified) Monitor and document individual progress, behaviors, and health-related issues Support individuals in developing life skills, social skills, and community integration Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive living environment Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established protocols Maintain accurate and timely documentation (daily notes, incident reports, medication logs) Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and family members Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered care at all times Minimum Qualifications At least 1 year of experience working in a healthcare, home care, or direct support setting Medication Certification (Med Certified) – preferred CPR and First Aid Certification – preferred High school diploma or GED (Associate’s or higher preferred) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for position) Ability to pass background check Preferred Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Compassionate, patient, and dependable Ability to handle challenging behaviors professionally Strong organizational and documentation skills Commitment to person-centered care Work Schedule Requirements Must be available to work evenings and weekends Flexibility to work holidays and additional hours as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals as needed (up to [insert weight] lbs) Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations Why Join Us?
