The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and committed to improving patient outcomes through education, assessment, and ongoing support.If you are passionate about heart health and patient care, then this is the Registered Nurse opportunity for you.The Registered Nurse Clinic in Cardiology:Perform patient assessments, triage, and clinical evaluations.Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing.Review and respond to patient calls, messages, and clinical concerns.Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, medications, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans.Coordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up appointments.Monitor test results and communicate findings under provider direction.Administer medications and treatments as ordered.Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR) documentation.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.Strictly adheres to infection control procedures including body substance isolation and bloodborne pathogen precautionsEnsures patient safety while handling, transporting, and providing medications to patientsProtect patients from various hazards, falls, diseases exposures, etc.Participates in quality assurance activities initiates and maintains accurate electronic and/or paper medical recordsMay draw blood and perform simple laboratory procedures and EKGsAssists with completing patient paperwork including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, etc.Job Requirements:Graduate of accredited school of nursingADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable.State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date).Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire.Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; cardiology or outpatient specialty experience strongly preferred.Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Apply today to join our team!
