Basic Job Functions: Lead, support and monitor environmental and safety compliance efforts for the industrial manufacturing project sites. Analyze the environmental impact of industrial manufacturing processes and develop control and remediation plans for reducing emissions. Ensure environmental safety compliance to federal (EPA), state (ADEQ), and local environmental regulations, including, the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Air Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery ACT (RCRA), and Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program within industrial/manufacturing setting. Audit disposal and recycling facilities. Analyze CO emissions trends using machine learning model across various scrap recipe mixtures, contributing to data-driven strategies for reducing carbon emissions in steel production. Generate dispersion AERMOD models using Python and R-programming to assess pollutant concentrations derived from steel manufacturing as required for Title V permitting. Lead Title V permit applications and modifications. Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) reports for executives and stakeholders. Conduct sample collection, preservation, and documentation and submit the samples to an EPA-certified laboratory for analytical testing. Utilize AutoCAD to design layouts, process flow maps, and P&ID diagrams of Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) engineering plans of water treatment plants ensuring ISO 14001 system adherence. Input Safety and Actions and access Safety Score Card. Conduct Management of Change (MOC) reviews and approvals of modifications to equipment, processes, materials, personnel, or procedures to industrial operations before implementation. Coordinate and implement environmental training programs, such as, QMS and EMS Awareness training. Serve as lead auditor for Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety ("EOHS") program ensuring compliance with EOHS, QMS, and general requirements. Lead National Pollutant Discharge Elimination (NPDES), Stormwater, and Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) permit applications and modifications. Handle Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS), Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Conflict Minerals, and Recycling documentation. Compile and submit monthly and annual Discharge Monitoring Reports and Quality Assurance Studies. Submit Annual Emission Inventory and Greenhouse Gas Survey to company executives for publication. Prepare, complete and submit air compliance reports, Annual TRI Reports, Annual Waste Reports, Tier II Reporting, Discharge Monitoring Reports, Quality Assurance Studies, and Spill Response and Reporting. Complete DOT General and Security Training, RCRA Hazardous Waste Training, Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) training, and HAZWOPER training. Maintain OSHA 10, 30, or 40-hour certification. Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering and 2 years of experience in environmental monitoring of industrial manufacturing project sites. Must have experience in: Utilizing AutoCAD to design layouts, process flow maps, and P&ID diagrams of SPCC engineering plans of water treatment plants ensuring ISO 14001 system adherence.; Generating dispersion AERMOD models using Python and R-programming to assess pollutant concentrations derived from steel manufacturing as required for Title V permitting.; Analyzing the environmental impact of industrial manufacturing processes and developing control and remediation plans for reducing emissions.; Analyzing CO emissions trends using machine learning model across various scrap recipe mixtures, contributing to data-driven strategies for reducing carbon emissions in steel production.; and Preparing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) reports for executives and stakeholders.
