PRN Registered Nurse

PRN Registered Nurse (RN)Nelson Enterprise is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing services to the inmate population for our client, FCI Mendota. This role supports the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) by delivering safe, competent, and timely nursing care in a secure correctional environment. This job is part of a Federal BPA contract and will have intermittent needs.When called, the shifts will typically be:Eight (8) hours per dayFive (5) days per weekTypical shift hours include: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The schedule may be adjusted based on institutional needs and will not normally exceed 40 hours per week.Key responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care within the Health Services DepartmentSupport medical operations for an inmate population in a correctional settingFollow facility policies, procedures, and all security requirementsRespond appropriately to medical needs and emergenciesMaintain professionalism and clinical standards at all timesRequirements:Active and unincumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license from any stateThree (3) or more years of nursing experienceAbility to work effectively in a secure correctional environmentCPR/Basic Life Support through the American Heart AssociationProof of Education and credentialsCurrent Competencies/CE creditsThe ability to pass a Federal Background check
