Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Job Location: Byron, Illinois
Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Days | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver physical therapy treatments to patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and functional goals
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and safe mobility techniques
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Illinois
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience working in a clinical or rehabilitative care setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment
- Familiarity with geriatric patient populations and long-term care rehabilitation protocols
