Schedule

6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday. On-call requirements include staying late 1-2 times per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the CV PreOp unit is responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication with the interdepartmental team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for procedures with complete assessments and interventions.


• Administer medications and manage IV lines.


• Assist with the induction/intubation and transport patients safely to the operating room.


• Perform hair removal, skin assessments, and assist with central line placements.


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Cerner system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.


• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.


• Previous critical care experience is a must; PreOp experience is a plus.


• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
