Quality Engineer (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities Update/maintain the Control Plan for the assigned workflows. Serve as primary contact with customer/supplier representatives, maintaining positive communication and relationship, and supporting and attending meetings, reviews, and audits. Ensure the quality system is maintained in accordance with YF iOS standards. Facilitate problem‑solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices. Verify corrective actions and prepare problem‑solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues. Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses. Establish process controls, assist in training new projects, and approve new or modified equipment and processes. Participate in workgroups such as FMEA and PSMC, and support PFMEA reviews. Perform root cause analysis of technical quality problems with support from a cross‑functional team. Support quality and dimensional control systems (X&R charts, gauge studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies). Demonstrate strong working knowledge of APQP tools (process flow, PFMEA, control plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).
