Staff Transplant Nephrologist

The staff transplant nephrologist is expected to participate in all aspects of kidney care, including having independent ambulatory clinic(s), inpatient rounding, and proficient in all aspects of solid organ kidney transplantation. The incumbent is expected to be in good standing with our academic affiliate, Baylor College of Medicine, with an academic title. The staff nephrologist is expected to be proficient in inpatient care, keen to teach nephrology fellows, and participate in quality improvement projects and research. Further, candidate will be involved in all aspects of solid-organ transplantation, especially kidney transplantation, during the pretransplant and post-transplant stages of patient care. This includes both outpatient and inpatient care. The role also includes some administrative duties relating to transplantation at MEDVAMC.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. The incumbent will also be on call on nights, weekends, and federal holidays for kidney transplant care.
