Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiac, Vascular, and Thoracic Operating Room procedures. This role involves working in a team-oriented environment dedicated to providing exceptional care during surgical interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting pre-operative assessments and preparing patients for surgery.
• Administering medications and monitoring vital signs during procedures.
• Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Providing post-operative care and education to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license with clinical experience in a Cardiac, Vascular, or Thoracic OR setting.
• Demonstrated ability to scrub for cardiac and vascular cases.
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR system is preferred.
• Strong punctuality and ability to respond to calls within 30 minutes.
• Flexible schedule required, including weekend call rotations.
