Our client is a hospital that is hiring a full-time Medical Director. This full-service veterinary hospital provides comprehensive care for cats and dogs and offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinary leader to shape the future of a growing practice. Role Description and Responsibilities
As the clinical cornerstone of the hospital, you will mentor and develop the veterinary team, establish medical protocols, and collaborate with hospital leadership to drive growth and innovation. This influential role offers the perfect combination of clinical practice and executive leadership, allowing you to make a profound impact on patient care, team development, and hospital performance. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical skills with comprehensive knowledge of veterinary medicine, strong leadership abilities, and experience mentoring and developing veterinary professionals. Candidates with 3-5 years of clinical experience are preferred, while previous leadership, mentoring, practice management, and team development experience would be highly advantageous. Specific working hours are to be discussed further.
Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Providing a full scope of GP services alongside Urgent Care, the practice offers a diverse and engaging caseload supported by modern diagnostic technology including, but not limited to, an In-House Laboratory, Digital X-Ray, and Digital Dental X-Ray. The state-of-the-art facility features an On-Site Pharmacy, a dedicated reception area, and a separate examination room designed to provide a calm and comfortable experience away from canines. As a cat-friendly clinic, the hospital is committed to creating a positive experience for feline patients. Additional services include laser therapy, stem cell therapy, and acupuncture, allowing for a comprehensive approach to patient care.
Team
You will join a team of 2 DVMs supported by dedicated veterinary technicians and client service professionals who share a commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care. The hospital is led by a supportive leadership team focused on the success and well-being of its associates, fostering a collaborative culture built on teamwork, communication, and professional growth. Together, the team works seamlessly to deliver exceptional patient care and client service while maintaining a positive and supportive workplace environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
