Graphic Designer / Prepress Designer - AlphaGraphics Memphis Full-Time | Memphis, TN AlphaGraphics Memphis is seeking an ambitious, customer-focused Graphic Designer with commercial print experience to join our growing team. This is not a traditional graphic design position. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with clients, solving problems, creating print-ready artwork, and helping projects move from concept to completion. As one of the first points of contact for our customers, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service while ensuring every project is produced accurately, on time, and at the highest quality standards. What You’ll Do Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing customers via phone, email, and walk-in inquiries. Review customer artwork and create print-ready files for production. Design and modify marketing materials including business cards, brochures, flyers, banners, signs, direct mail pieces, and promotional products. Prepare proofs and estimates while clearly communicating project requirements and timelines. Collaborate closely with the production team to ensure files are properly prepared and produced accurately. Recommend creative solutions that help customers achieve their marketing and communication goals. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Follow up promptly with customers regarding proofs, estimates, revisions, and project status updates. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Build long‑term relationships that lead to repeat business and customer loyalty. Required Qualifications Commercial Print Experience Required Candidates must have prior experience working in a commercial print environment and possess a strong understanding of print production processes. Technical Skills Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including: Adobe InDesign Adobe Illustrator Adobe Photoshop Strong knowledge of print production and prepress requirements. Understanding of: Digital vs. Offset Printing CMYK and PMS Color Systems Bleeds and Margins Print Registration Color Matching Spot Colors Paper Stocks and Weights Coatings and Finishing Options Professional Skills Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Comfortable interacting with clients in person, over the phone, and via email. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑motivated, proactive, and solution‑oriented. Strong problem‑solving skills and a positive attitude.
