Job Title

Work with kitchen staff and servers to ensure clear communication and efficient workflow for TRUSS Restaurant + Bar. Inspect dishes before they are served to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards. Can also perform a range of duties which may include assisting guests with orders, taking feedback, and preparing table set-ups. Respond to all interactions in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and attend to guest needs and requests with a sense of urgency in the Resort's Food & Beverage areas.

What You Will Do
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with FOH, BOH and our guests.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Assist in the set up and break down of kitchen pass.
  • Assist with set up of restaurant for service.
  • Assist with polishing silverware and glass wear before and after service.
  • Polishing and stocking of linen, plates, silver ware and glassware for service.
  • Preparation of garnishes for service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the Restaurant for the shift.
  • Assistance with guest service includes retrieving food from the kitchen and safely transporting it to guests, as well as removal of items from the guest's table.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Coordinate the BOH and servers to maintain efficient service. Maintain a clear and open line of communication between the FOH and BOH, assist with any order issues.
  • Checks dishes for accuracy, presentation, and consistency.
  • Inform culinary team of pace and flow of service, dictate the flow if necessary.
What You Bring

Experience:

  • Minimum one-year food and beverage service or equivalent.
  • Specific knowledge of menu items and possible allergies.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum one year's food service or related work.
  • Ability to communicate professional and accurately.
  • Job requires ability to stand for 8 hours. Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Previous experience in a luxury environment, highly desirable.
  • High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
