In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality mental health care to a diverse clientele, helping them navigate their mental health journeys through targeted therapeutic interventions and supportive counseling.

Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Initiate discharge planning from the moment of patient admission, tailoring treatment and ensuring that discharge sessions focus on equipping patients with essential coping skills and a personalized transition plan. \n
- Proactively manage crises during therapy sessions, collaborating closely with milieu staff to assure that all interactions promote a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families. \n
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation that reflects the care provided, complete with notes that are recorded at the time of service to support ongoing treatment planning. \n
- Build and maintain therapeutic rapport with patients, conducting thorough assessments of their mental health status, including evaluations related to suicidality and potential risks to self or others. \n
- Lead effective admission assessments for new clients, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and appropriately addressing any immediate concerns they may have. \n
- Participate in weekly treatment team meetings to review patient progress and set collaborative clinical goals, contributing your insights and expertise to improve overall outcomes. \n
- Facilitate utilization reviews for insurance purposes, engaging with insurance providers to secure necessary authorizations for initial and continued treatment. \n
- Be readily available and responsive to family members, returning calls and emails within two hours during business hours and within 24 hours at other times to ensure continuity of care. \n
- Communicate effectively with Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization processes, ensuring seamless coordination with referral sources and outpatient providers to maintain continuity of care throughout the treatment process. \n

Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution. \n
- An independent license to practice in the state of residence (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is required. \n
- Demonstrated ability to handle an active caseload and engage effectively with large healthcare providers and support staff. \n
- A sincere passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals by improving behavioral health care. \n
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems and excellent email communication skills are essential. \n

- Experience working in a community health setting, especially with diverse populations. \n
- Background in crisis intervention and management within therapeutic environments. \n
- Familiarity with insurance procedures and authorization processes is advantageous. \n
