Certified Sterile Processing Technician
Travel position; specific location details available upon inquiry.
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift: 5x8-Hour schedule from 23:00 to 07:00. Block schedule includes Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
As a Certified Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for the cleaning, sterilization, and preparation of medical instruments and equipment. This role requires knowledge of sterile processing methods, high-level disinfection procedures, and robotics.
- Conduct high-level disinfection and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Utilize washers, sterilizers, and other cleaning equipment effectively.
- Assemble instrument sets and trays per established protocols.
- Document sterilization processes and monitor biological and chemical indicators.
- Maintain organized inventory of instruments and equipment.
- Assist with the operation of robotic equipment when necessary.
- 1 year of experience in a sterile processing environment preferred.
- Certification from CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA required.
- Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
- Experience with robotics preferred.
- Previous charge experience is a plus.
