Job Description:

This nurse is responsible for patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, compassionate care. Med-Surg RNs manage patients' needs through their hospitalization, focusing on their recovery, education, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Monitor and assess patient responses to medications and treatments.
• Perform tasks such as wound care and managing drains or tubes.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, medications, treatments, and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and post-hospital care.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, providing life-saving interventions as needed.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid state nursing license.
• Minimum 2 years of Nursing experience in Medical-Surgical specialty.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
