Job Title: Senior Data Integration Developer

Location: Horsham, PA (Hybrid onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Duration: 3-6 months, Contract-to-Hire

Job Description:

The Senior Data Integration Developer is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and support of enterprise data integration solutions that facilitate the movement, transformation, validation, and delivery of critical business data throughout the organization.

This role serves as the primary owner of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and related extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes supporting operational systems, reporting platforms, data warehouses, regulatory reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The position works closely with business stakeholders, application owners, database administrators, analysts, and third-party vendors to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of enterprise data assets.

The ideal candidate possesses strong SQL Server expertise, extensive experience with SSIS development, a solid understanding of relational database design, and the ability to troubleshoot complex data integration challenges. A sense of modern ETL technologies and an eye toward improving existing processes is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETL Development & Data Integration
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages.
  • Build and support enterprise ETL processes that extract data from internal and external sources.
  • Develop complex data transformations, mappings, validations, and business rules.
  • Optimize ETL workflows to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Implement error handling, logging, auditing, and exception management processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures and data integrity issues.
• Database Development
  • Develop, modify, and optimize SQL stored procedures, views, functions, and queries.
  • Create and maintain database objects supporting reporting and integration requirements.
  • Conduct data analysis and validation activities to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Assist with database performance tuning activities related to integration workloads.
• Data Quality & Governance
  • Monitor data quality metrics and investigate data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with business units to define data validation and reconciliation requirements.
  • Support regulatory, audit, compliance, and data governance initiatives.
  • Maintain data lineage and transformation documentation.
• Operational Support
  • Monitor scheduled data loads and batch processing activities.
  • Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as required.
  • Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate ETL deployments and releases through established change management processes.
• Collaboration & Project Work
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather data integration requirements.
  • Collaborate with application vendors and internal development teams on system integrations.
  • Participate in data architecture discussions and modernization initiatives.
  • Assist in evaluating emerging technologies related to data integration and analytics.
• Documentation
  • Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes, data flows, interfaces, and operational procedures.
  • Create and update support runbooks and troubleshooting guides.
  • Document data mappings, transformation logic, and source-to-target relationships.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Degree and/or certifications: ideal, not required (per the client intake form).
• 5+ years of professional experience developing and supporting ETL solutions.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• 3+ years of hands-on SSIS development experience.
• Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Experience supporting production data integration environments.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or cloud-based integration platforms.
• Experience integrating third-party vendor data feeds.
• Familiarity with Power BI and enterprise reporting platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Experience with API-based integrations and web services.
• Snowflake and Azure Data Pipeline experience the client's stated "huge nice to have."
