Our Lifeguards support the organization’s mission by intentionally welcoming members into the Y Community, connecting them with others, and maintaining certification-level physical and mental readiness to keep our community members safe. Part-Time & Full-Time positions are available with a flexible schedule. We will train any interested and qualified applicants, including covering the cost of their Lifeguard Certification after completing the interview and approval process. Terms & conditions apply. We’re looking for a new team member who can: Be professional, responsible, mature & energetic. Demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards. Create a safe environment, in which all individuals feel welcomed and respected. Build relationships with, and among, members and program participants. (All while remaining alert and observant of your assigned aquatic area of responsibility, of course!) Qualifications: Minimum age of 15 Is punctual and dependable. Posses the ability to remain calm and think critically in stressful situations. Certifications: Professional rescuer CPR/AED, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration Current YMCA or American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
