Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller directs financial, cost accounting, and compliance activities for a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. This role provides financial leadership to site management, oversees planning cycles and reporting, and supervises a team of three while driving cost optimization and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Direct all financial activities including standard costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and inventory reconciliations Coordinate preparation of monthly reports, quarterly schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and year-end packages Provide financial analysis and scenario planning to support management decision-making and margin optimization Establish and maintain internal controls aligned with corporate financial policies and GAAP standards Supervise, coach, and develop team of three; lead cross-site process improvement initiatives Requirements ~ Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA or MBA preferred ~7+ years of finance experience; cost accounting background preferred ~3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience ~ Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP, Power Query, Power BI, and BPC ~ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities ~ Excellent communication and presentation skills across organizational levels ~ Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, changing environment
