Engineering Technician

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company , is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team. As an Engineering Technician , you will be part of the Vehicle Development Engineering Department supporting Engineering, Validation, Technical Review, and Product Development Teams . The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills , excellent communication skills , and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Engineering Technician

Location: Warren, MI 48092 (Onsite)

Pay Range: $33 - $39/hr

What's the Job?

• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, technical layouts, and PDM data to support vehicle development activities.

• Inspect physical hardware, vehicle components, and assemblies to identify discrepancies and root causes.

• Analyze data from internal databases and prepare technical, cost, and performance reports.

• Coordinate technical reviews, document action items, and monitor project progress.

• Support validation activities, customer escalations, supplier investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

• 8-10 years of engineering, automotive, validation, or technical analysis experience.

• Strong understanding of vehicle architecture, automotive systems, and component interaction.

• Experience with engineering drawings, blueprints, technical documentation, database management, and root cause analysis.

• Automotive mechanic or technician experience with strong written and verbal communication skills.
