Overview Mainframe (COBOL) Developer, Plano, TX job at Career Mentors, LLC. Plano, TX. Details Location: Plano, TX (5 Days Onsite) Rate: $55/hr on W2 Contract Type: W2 Only (No C2C or 1099) Responsibilities Strong experience with COBOL IMS (Information Management System) DB2 (Database 2) Experience with Mainframe Assembler Programming may be considered in place of COBOL Daily hands-on work with COBOL, IMS, and DB2 in prior roles Preferred Skills General understanding of cloud computing concepts Familiarity with Ansible, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or similar DevOps tools Project Scope Work on existing mainframe systems Support the design of microservices architecture as part of the modernization process No Java work required Additional Notes W2 candidates only Must be local to Plano, TX or able to relocate immediately This is a full onsite role (no remote or hybrid) TopTech Talent is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
