Requisition ID: 15954ERP Eligible?: YesERP amount: $50 LMRecognitionRelocation: PossibleType: ExemptShift: 1Clearance Prior to Start: NoneFinal Clearance: TS/SCIPay Transparency: $79,300.00 - $147,300.00Experience Level: Experienced ProfessionalFT/PT/Casual: FullTimeDepartment: Space LMOSBusiness Unit: Space LMOSStandard Job DescriptionAs a Ground Systems Engineer for the Next Generation GEO Operations and Sustainment Team you will:Provide real time, operational support to various teams for the operation and maintenance of Ground and Space system software and equipmentEnsure system Ground and Space functionality during operations and testing environmentsProvide system maintenance support for a large system of computers (Linux environment), associated switching, network, communication circuits, and equipmentIdentify system problems, perform troubleshooting, correcting, and documenting both software and hardware failuresSupport daily system configuration management during operations and system upgrades/modificationsEnsure inter-system capabilities with multiple Remote Ground Stations including Satellite Control NetworkProvide limited database system administrationProvide operations subject matter expertise to technical working groupsParticipate in Ground and Space anomaly resolution working groupsAnalyze and validate system performanceThoroughly document system deficienciesProvide technical recommendations and guidance to Ground and Satellite operators during system failures and recoveryMonitor and recover, if necessary, software and database synchronization between primary and backup operations centersCollaborate closely with internal/external technical engineering operations teamsTroubleshoot system anomalies when external customers endure data outagesBasic QualificationsAbility to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceMust be able to support 24x7 operations environmentSecurity+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)Strong interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work as a member of a team in a dynamic environmentDesired SkillsActive TS/SCI security clearanceExperience with Linux shell scriptingBackground in technology, engineering, software, hardware, system, or network administrationSatellite systems experienceExperience with large complex systemsSystem documentation and program lifecycle experiencePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
