Radiologic Technologist

Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: California State Radiologic Technologists License Certifications: ARRT License, CA Fluoro License, CT License Must-Have: - Proficient in X-ray and CT scans - Ability to work independently Description: Nights, 7 on / 7 off. Starting schedule: Wednesday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Thursday, Friday 7 PM to 7 AM. Saturday, Sunday 7 PM to 7 AM. Monday 8:30 AM to 6:30 AM. Tuesday 8:30 AM to 6:30 AM. Then off for 7 days. Traveler will cover shifts for vacation coverage. Required to work holidays if it falls on a regular shift. Will perform both CT and X-ray exams. Must be flexible with shifts to cover department needs. The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing screening, diagnostic, and/or therapeutic imaging procedures. Procedures should be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies. Must perform procedures competently and independently when applicable. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues is involved. Availability for on-call coverage may be required. Directly responsible to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager. Work closely with medical staff, including Radiologists and ER physicians. Engagement with hospital leadership and departments is expected. Potential exposure to patients in various stages of infectious states. Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology is required. Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists is mandatory. Desire to cross-train into other modalities is preferred. Current CPR certification is required. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Experience with PACS/RIS and EHR systems is a plus. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures. Act as a role model within the workplace.
