Maintenance Technician

Practice safe work habits at all times Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products Demonstrate ability to teach other maintenance classifications in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use Demonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software program Demonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other maintenance classifications according to their abilities and limitations Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed properly Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with Company guidelines. Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping Additional duties may be assigned by management Basic electrical skills knows how to connect and repair electrical controls, such as relays, contactors, sensors, and AC motors Basic knowledge of PLCS knows how to connect PLC’S – inputs and outputs Advanced knowledge of PLCs knows how to connect and read ladder software Mechanical skills lubrication; mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting; able to change bearings; understands different measuring systems (metric and standard); can use measuring tools (tape measure, ruler, caliper) Able to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime as needed High school diploma or GED To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand for long periods, walk frequently, squat, climb, bend, crouch, push-pull, carry, work at heights, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use radio, speak and listen frequently. Role requires ability to work in environment of excessive heat or cold, walking on uneven surfaces and frequent lifting up to 20 pounds.
