The Clinical Director in Training (CDIT) is a developmental role designed to prepare qualified healthcare professionals for future Clinical Director positions. Under the guidance of the Market Leader and Clinical Market Leader, the CDIT will learn and assist in managing the Wellness department to ensure residents achieve and maintain their highest level of wellness and function.This role provides hands-on experience in clinical operations, regulatory compliance, staff management, and resident care coordination under the guidance of experienced clinical leaders. The CDIT will learn to ensure high-quality care standards while promoting a culture of safety, dignity, and respect for residents.This role is on-site in California.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in a structured leadership training program focused on clinical operations and regulatory complianceShadow and support Clinical Directors with day‑to‑day clinical, staffing, scheduling, and operational responsibilitiesAssist in reviewing resident care plans, medication management, and health assessments to ensure quality careSupport quality assurance initiatives and help meet clinical performance metricsLearn and assist with state and federal regulatory compliance, audits, and documentation accuracySupport hiring, training, and mentorship of Wellness team membersCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver person‑centered careCommunicate with residents and families regarding care plans and health updatesAssist with scheduling, staffing plans, inventory management, and basic operational planningEngage in ongoing professional development in geriatric care and clinical leadershipPerform additional duties within scope of practice as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Current RN, LPN, LVN license (required).Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in senior living, long-term care, or related healthcare setting.Strong leadership potential and interest in management roles.Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel within assigned region (if applicable).TRAINING PROGRAM DETAILS:Duration: 6-12 weeks (may vary by organization).Includes mentorship, classroom learning, and on-the-job training.Successful completion may lead to placement as Clinical Director within a senior living community.CORE COMPETENCIES:Resident-centered care philosophy.Regulatory knowledge and compliance mindset.Leadership and team-building skills.Critical thinking and decision-making ability.We are an equal opportunity employer.
